We’re thrilled to share that WeGetDesign was named a finalist in two categories at the recent Wales Technology Awards 2024: Best AI Application and Best Tech Leader.
The awards ceremony, held at Mercure Cardiff Holland House, celebrated the achievements of innovators and leaders within Wales’ technology sector, and we were honoured to be included among such inspiring companies.
Recognising Innovation: AI Base
Our Best AI Application nomination recognised our data management tool, AI Base. Developed to help organisations, particularly charities and mission-driven teams, manage data more effectively, AI Base supports compliance and efficiency in handling data. This nomination reflects our team’s dedication to building AI tools that genuinely help our clients work smarter and achieve their goals.
Leadership in Tech
We were also delighted to see our founder, Omar Moulani, shortlisted for Best Tech Leader. Omar is deeply committed to addressing the tech skills gap in Wales, particularly in software development. Through investing in apprenticeships and creating opportunities for local talent, he actively supports the growth of Wales’ tech workforce. Known for his supportive leadership, Omar ensures that our team has plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.
Although we didn’t take home the awards, being recognised as finalists in two categories was a meaningful achievement. The event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other passionate leaders and celebrate the collective progress of Wales’ technology community. It was an evening filled with engaging conversations and shared excitement about the future of Welsh tech.
